VFI®-2519 75 D Brushable Hard Coat

VFI-2519 75 D Brushable Hard Coat is a 3B:1A, brush-applied, polyurethane coating. It is used in conjunction with other hard coats as a patch repair or as the hard coat itself on small projects. It cures in thin films to provide structure to EPS foam for theming designs and fabrication. VFI-2519 offers a long pot life for extended workability and can be applied vertically without sagging. After sanding and priming, the hard coat can be painted to blend in with existing applications or to improve the aesthetics of smaller pieces.

VFI®-2626 65 D Brushable Hard Coat

VFI-2626 65 D Brushable Hard Coat is a 1A:3B by volume, two-component polyurethane coating. Since it is applied by brush or trowel, it’s used as a patch repair material with other hard coats or as a hard coating material on small-scale projects. It provides deformable surfaces such as EPS and other foams with structure and high rigidity for protection from impacts. The coating can be textured if desired but can also be sanded, primed, and painted to improve the aesthetics of smaller pieces. VFI-2626 is capable of passing UL-94 V0.

VFI®-6170 70 D Spray Hard Coat

VFI-6170 70 D Spray Hard Coat is a fast-setting, two-component, spray-applied polyurethane coating for theming and industrial design. When sprayed thick, the coating provides a durable, protective shell-like layer over structural shapes, 3-D sculptures, or other entertainment props primarily made with EPS foam. It is meant to be used by trained professionals who are familiar with high-pressure spray equipment. VFI-6170 is great for interior applications where Class A fire testing is necessary. The coating cures in seconds, so it can be sanded and painted shortly after spraying to achieve the desired finish and aesthetic.

VFI-6171 70 D Qwik Spray Hard Coat is a two-part, user-friendly, polyurethane cartridge system that uses the portable, cost-effective VFI-7500 Qwik Spray Gun. It is designed as long-lasting protection for theming sculptures, parts, and components. Since the Qwik Spray System® is portable, VFI-6171 can also be used for on-site touch-up work or bonding large pieces together. It is mainly used as a durable protective layer over foam for interior applications that require fire testing.
