Spray Foams From VFI™

VFI™ offers a selection of rigid, closed cell and flexible foams for a variety of commercial and industrial applications.

Roofing Application

VFI-730 Spray Foam can cover more square feet of roof than any other brand.

VFI-730 Polyurethane Foam is an advanced, energy efficient, long lasting, sprayable foam product for new roofs or application on existing roofs. It’s offered in three reactivity grades to work under a wide range of surface temperatures.

Save time and money. No need to remove existing roof substrates.

  • Environmentally Safe - Dade County Approved - UL Approved
  • Lower heating and cooling costs. Increase the roof’s “R” value. Reduce thermal shock.
  • No seams – no leaks. Volatile Free’s VFI-730 SPF in combination with VFI-540 Aluminum Polyurea Hybrid Coating or VFI-535 Copper Coating forms a superior, seamless roofing system.
  • Self-flashing – Conforms to any shape and leaves no gaps.
  • Renewable – The roof’s future integrity is easily renewable through the application of one of Volatile Free’s environmentally safe elastomer coatings.
  • Lightweight – The stone ballast that is removed weighs more than the foam that replaces it, reducing roof sag risk. Better snow load tolerance.
  • Longer life – The VFI roof coating system will encapsulate and protect the roof for up to 15 years.
  • Exceptional wind uplift resistance.*
* “The application of sprayed foam to steel deck and plywood deck demonstrated uplift load resistance up to the capacity of the test equipment to develop load (160 – 165 psf) without any sign of delamination or other damage to the foam.”
-Underwriters Laboratory, Inc.

Insulation Spray Foam

Keep the inside in and the outside out with the VFI-714 Polyurethane Class I, 1.9 lb. Spray Foam System.

Class I ASTM E-84 (Flame Spread Index 15, Smoke Development Index 450)

“Spray polyurethane foam alone can provide an air and water-tight barrier”
-US Department of Commerce brochure, NISTIR4821
  • Meets Energy Star standards
  • Certified high rating for fire and smoke resistance.
  • VFI-714's closed cell, initial R-7.7 / in. initial and R-7.0 / in. cured rating in a 2x4 wall is greater than the “R” rating of 6 inches of fiberglass in a 2x6 wall.
  • VFI-714 can retard the formation of mold and mildew inside of a wall.
  • VFI-714 provides a tight seal against outside elements, allergens and pollutants around windows, doors electrical outlets and penetrations.
  • Helps keep pests outside.
  • Eliminates some of the costs associated with weatherizing a building, such as caulking, installing vapor and wind barriers and taping joints.
  • Outside noise is greatly reduced and wall strength is increased.
  • No settling and fills hard to reach areas.
  • Deflects water leaks and will not absorb moisture.

VFI-714 will last as long as the wall because it is an inert polymer.

Flexible Spray Foams

VFI’s two-component, flexible polyurethane spray foams contain no CFC’s. These foams are self-leveling, have outstanding rebounding properties and soft feel when used for in-mold coatings and post-applied coatings.

These foams are easy to apply and have excellent “flow-out” characteristics when used on another foam or substrate.

End-use applications include “soft touch” and “soft play” applications and they are also utilized in OEM fabrication for the automotive, off-highway equipment and amusement ride industries.
